The French Pharmacie in Broad Ripple approached us to design and build a storage system and work station for their hair color inventory utilizing primarily salvaged materials, this was the end result.
The upper cabinet was built around two beautiful mirrored salvaged ice box doors and finished with lath board and rustic hickory with raw steel trim. Lower counter is based off a modified antique factory cart combined with a bank of vintage glass-front jewelry case drawers. Custom drawer dividers were fabricated from frosted acrylic to organize the hair color boxes inside the drawers while still allowing them to be viewed through the front of the case. The counter top was fabricated from a salvaged slate chalk board finished with paste wax to preserve the patina and raw steel trim pieces to protect the edge.
